Waller Creek art installation, Austin, TX
Waller Creek is a small penned in watercourse running through the center of Austin, and the city is clearly trying to revitalize it from its dingy and unloved condition---some parts are downright nasty and unsafe, while others like this one have been gentrified. What we see here is particularly transformed because I happened to be in town at the time of the Creek Show, a night-time art show blooming all along the hip center area of the creek. But it's all much more interesting at night...
