Big tires, South Dakota
Gigantic tires, so large that they spill over the sides of the flatbed 18-wheeler that carries them. Tires this large generally belong to only farm equipment or mining trucks, and I'm pretty sure these must be for mining. The two designs are huge for different reasons: farm equipment tires are large in order to spread a vehicles weight and minimize the damage it does to the soil, and so also typically have much softer and deeper ridges. Mining trucks, on the other hand, need solid inflexible brute strength like these tires show, in order to support the many tons of rock they carry.
