Missile fields of South Dakota

In Minuteman Missile, this map shows where the missile fields once stood, spread over thousands of square miles of desolate fields so it would be hard to take out more than one with a single nuclear warhead. Peace activists from the local communities mapped the fields and publicized the locations of every missile, driving the backcountry road until they found anomalous fences and security in the middle of desolate fields and hills.
