The ultimate destination of my trip that year was Wittenberg, Germany, for a meeting that happened to take place in the same building where Martin Luther once taught. The town is quite proud of its connection to the famed theologian and reformer, and was gearing up years in advance for a celebration of the 500th anniversary of him nailing with 95 theses to the church door.
